ArXiv Imposes Two-Paper Monthly Submission Cap to Combat AI Flood
Starting October 2026, the ArXiv preprint server will limit submissions to two per person each month following an overwhelming surge in AI-related research papers. Monthly submissions have doubled in two years while computer science AI categories grew sixfold, heavily straining volunteer moderators and threatening the platform's ability to maintain academic quality.
