Disney to hire majority of bankrupt chatbot startup Character.AI's workforce
Following the bankruptcy filing of chatbot startup Character.AI, Disney has agreed to hire the majority of its employees. This follows a previous agreement where Disney acquired select startup assets for $20 million. The integration is spearheaded by Character.AI's former CEO Karandeep Anand, who recently assumed the role of Disney's first Chief Technology Officer.
