Etsy is rolling out new policies restricting artificial intelligence in product listings to combat the rise of unverified AI-generated goods, often called slop. The marketplace is taking action after buyers reported difficulty identifying AI content and genuine sellers expressed frustration over their original work being overshadowed by low-effort automated listings.
